Capture photos in data entry


Data Entry has been enhanced to support uploading photos and associating them with a spatial feature when creating or editing


Depending on your organisation and Data Editing processes, this toolbar is used to Edit Spatial data and their attributes.


Symbol

Add a point feature

You will only be able to add a point if the Layer you are editing is a Point layer.

  • Click on the tool to activate it
  • Select on the map and the feature will be added
  • Add the attributes of the new feature in the pop-up. Those fields with an asterisks (*) must not be left blank
  • Click Save

The appearance of the point on the map may depend on the style of that feature. For example, if the feature is a Park Asset and is a BBQ, it will be styled like all the other BBQ's on the map.

Line

Add a line feature

You will only be able to add a line if the Layer you are editing is a Line layer.

  • Click once on the map to begin drawing the line
  • Click as many times as is required
  • If you make a mistake, hit Esc to cancel
  • Double click to complete the line
  • Add the attributes of the new feature in the pop-up. Those fields with an asterisks (*) must not be left blank
  • Click Save

The appearance of the line on the map may depend on the style of that feature. For example, if the feature is a Park Asset and is a Gate, it will be styled like all the other Gates on the map.

Polygon

Add a polygon feature

You will only be able to add a polygon if the Layer you are editing is a Polygon layer.

  • Click on the tool to activate it
  • Click once on the map to begin drawing the polygon
  • Click as many times as is required to create the shape
  • If you make a mistake, hit Esc to cancel
  • Double click the complete the polygon
  • Add the attributes of the new feature in the pop-up. Those fields with an asterisks (*) must not be left blank
  • Click Save

The appearance of the polygon on the map may depend on the style of that feature. For example, if the feature is a Park Asset and is a Garden Bed, it will be styled like all the other Garden Bed's on the map.


Edit

Edit an existing feature

  • Click on the tool to activate it
  • Click on a feature you wish to edit

Change attributes

  • The attribute popup will appear. Change these attributes if you wish and click Save

Move the feature

  • To move the feature, hover your cursor and you will notice the cursor symbol change
  • Click and drag the feature to the new location

Edit the shape (lines & polygons)

  • Select the feature
  • Click the Edit tool
  • Drag the vertices (grey and black dots) to the desired position
  • Click Save

Delete

Delete an existing feature

  • Select a feature on the Map
  • Click the Delete tool
  • Select Yes, delete
  • The item will be deleted. Remember, you cannot undo deleting a feature
